    Scholarship Application

The Fin & Feather Club of Mason County is proud to offer a $1500 Scholarship yearly to a student enrolled in the outdoor sciences. It can be renewed each year with another application. Applications can be downloaded from this web-site or from Laude Hartrum, 6625 Bass Lake Blvd., Pentwater, MI 49449 or (231) 869-3061, or your high school counselor. The Club has been awarding this scholarship for 10 years as a way to give something back to the outdoor community.The Fin and Feather Club is dedicated to defending the natural resources of Michigan. The Scholarship is just one of many programs sponsored by the Club; Tracks Magazine for County fifth graders, Walleye Program, MUCC Summer Camp, and the Hunter Safety Program. The Club also presents the Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program to area third graders.The Club works hard to promote conservation and environmental awareness. The Scholarship Program in an excellent way to give something back to what we all enjoy. The application is due by May1, 2012.

2010 - 2011- Steven Gambicki is enrolled at Lake Superior State College studying in the outdoor science field

 

2007 - Andrew Briggs is the son of Scott and Jean Briggs of Scottville. Andrew is attending Lake Superior State University, studying Fisheries and Wildlife Management. his academic record at LSSU is what gave him the edge. He has a perfect 4.0 average.

 

2006 - Andrew Briggs, son of Scott and Jean Briggs of Scottville. Andrew will be attending Lake Superior State University in the fall and will be studying Fisheries and Wildlife Management. Andrew has also received the DAR Citizens Award, the National Turkey Federation Scholarship, and the Lake Superior State Board of Trustees Distinguished Scholarship. Andrew was a graduate of Mason County Central High School, The Scholarship Award was presented to him at the May 10 th, Fin & Feather Club meeting.
