The Fin and Feather Club will again sponsor a Spring Hunter Safety Class. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER. PRE-Registration will be on August 8 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Captain Chucks, 5770 W. U.S. 10. Ludington. Hunter Safety Instructors will be there to register students and pass out the student handbook. No phone call registration will be accepted, you MUST show up on August 22. The book work MUST be done before you come to class. If the book work is not done when you come to class you will be sent home and have to wait till the next class session in Fall. The D.N.R. is requiring us to include more information in the class so we need to have the students prepared for the class so we can hit the ground running the first evening. All classes will be held at the Fin and Feather Clubhouse. Students MUST attend ALL sessions .We will also accept the on-line student who had successfully completed the on-line class and brings his certificate of passing with him. This student must also pre-register, so we know they are attending, by calling Frank Koehle at 231-845-7259. See you August 8 at Captain Chucks for Pre-registration. The pre-registration last fall showed a drastic increase in student participation with instructors during the class and very good test scores. With the younger hunters now taking the class this two week before class registration is giving the parents a chance to help the st u-dent to understand the book work, making them a safer hunter.
KIDS DAY:
I am planning a KIDS Day in August. This would be in conjunction with our fall hunter safety class, but open to all kids. I would like to have presentations going on all morning in the club house with Rod building, Fly tying, Archery - bow fitting , Pelts- trapping, reloading, taxidermy, flint knapping, fly rod casting.
